The Dynatronics DX2
How DX2 technology works.
The DX2 system is able to isolate lumbar vertebrae (L1, 2, 3, 4 or 5) and distract the vertebrae surrounding an
injured disc 5 to 7 millimeters. The treatment provides cycling forces on structures that may be causing low back
pain.
To sum up: The DX2 therapy is performed on a patented intervertebral decompression device. The procedure is a
multi-stage process that decreases pressure inside the disc and promotes self-healing. This self-healing is
encouraged by drawing blood to the disc increasing the intersticial fluid content of the disc and reducing pressure
within the disc. As the pressure in the disc is decreased, bulging disc material retracts and damaged structures in
the spine are healed and rehabilitated.
Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression: A New
Treatment Option for Low Back Pain Sufferers
Over ten years ago, NASA was the first to investigate the effects of spinal
decompression on intervertebral discs during space travel. It found that
astronauts were relieved of LBP in anti-gravity conditions, and that disc height
actually increased during a space mission. The question then became how to
successfully replicate these phenomena here on earth.
Patients typically undergo a series of 15 to 20 treatment sessions, each
session lasting 35-40 minutes. The patient is seen daily for the first two
weeks of treatment, then three times a week as needed, usually no longer that 4-
5 weeks.
Clinical research studies show up to an 86% success rate using the DRX. Those
patients who fail to respond, usually don’t follow the prescribed treatment
protocol. Once treatment is complete, patients are given back and abdominal
strengthening exercises to help avoid future injury, and nutritional guidance if
excessive body weight is an issue.
Contraindications for the treatment include pregnancy, fractures, diffuse
osteoporosis, bone cancer, and the presence of spinal implants.

Spinal Decompression Therapy
The NEW Treatment for Low Back Pain
In the past, a patient suffering from disc problems usually
was given pain medications, instructed to refrain from physical
activities, referred for physical therapy, and when they weren’t
progressing they were sent for spinal surgery. Conservative
chiropractic care proved very helpful in many cases, yet there
have been some cases when surgery seemed to be the only
other option… until now.
Today, you don’t have to live with that pain anymore. Thanks to the concerted efforts of a team of top physicians and
medical engineers, the DX2 was developed to effectively treat lower back pain and sciatica resulting from herniated
or deteriorated discs. The DX2 not only significantly reduces back pain in over 85% of patients, but also enables the
majority of patients to return to more active lifestyles.
Does the DX2 really work?
The DX2 has been proven effective in relieving the pain associated with bulging and herniated discs, degenerative
disc disease, sciatica, and even relapse or failed back surgery. Since its release in 2001, clinical studies have revealed
an amazing 87% success rate in treating lumbar disc related problems with the DRX9000.
How does it work?
The DX2 uses state of the art technology to apply a distraction force to relieve nerve compression often associated
with low back pain and sciatica.
During treatment with the DX2, the patient relaxes on their back; some even nap during treatment. The DRX can
also be set to concentrate treatment on specific lumbar disc levels.
How long does the treatment take?
Treatment with the DX2 will consist of 4 treatments a week for usually 4-6 weeks. Most patients will begin
experiencing relief in the first week of treatment.
Will my insurance pay for treatment with the DX2?
Our experience has shown most insurance companies are paying for treatment with the DRX9000 the same as they
would for other forms of physical therapy.
How do I get started?
Contact our office at 217-347-3838 to schedule an initial appointment for a consultation to determine if you are a
candidate for treatment with the DX2. After carefully studying your case history and exam findings, the doctor will
sit down and explain the treatment recommendation.

This table also offers us the ability to use light therapy for pain management and relief. It also has a carpal
tunnel accessory that proves most effective in reducing and eliminating carpal tunnel syndrome. Call for more
